| NEW! V&F Transformer begins production in Aqualagos, Mexico.
V&F Transformer has recently put the finishing touches on an agreement to begin production
right outside of Monterey Mexico. The facility, which has been in operation for nearly 10 years,
allows V&F Transformer the ability to offer a low cost/reduced lead time production option to its
customers. The Aqualagos Facility in cooperation with V&F Transformer’s China and Chicago
operations allows V&F to meet the price, lead time, and quality requirements of all customers.

V&F Transformer completed the rigorous approval process in record time demonstrating the organization's well documented and maintained Quality Management System as well as a competency in Statistical Process control and familiarity with the PPAP program.

| Dean Foderaro Jr., Sales and Marketing Manager, has been accepted to the Loyola University of Chicago Executive MBA Program.
Dean Foderaro Jr. will further his education through Loyola University of Chicago’s Executive
MBA Program. The program is designed at providing business executives with an advanced,
internationally focused, and well rounded education in Business Administration. The program
is facilitated by senior, tenured professors and an impressive group of adjunct professors
consisting of experts in the different disciplines of Business Administration. Dean Foderaro Jr.
will be among the youngest to earn acceptance to the program and V&F is looking forward to
the benefits of having an MBA in the organization’s ranks.

| V&F Transformer and The Harrington Group strike a deal to computerize V&F Transformer’s ISO Compliant Quality Management System!
In a move, consistent with V&F Transformer’s dedication to qualiy assurance, V&F Transformer has purchase the Harrington Group Quality Management System and implementation will begin immediately.
This internet based computer program will allow V&F to maintain, track, and efficiently revise computerized versions of all production critical and control sensitive documents, track crucial corrective and preventative actions, as well as manage equipment maintenance, calibration activities, and facilitate a wide spread and requirement directed training program. The HQMS system is internet based and will be implemented at all V&F Transformer Facilities.
V&F’s Dean Foderaro Jr. and Larry NeJame of the Harrington Group have been developing this agreement over the past several months, and the entire V&F Team is very excited and positive they have chosen the right product. Dean Foderaro Jr. will be overseeing the implementation and will be spending time at the Harrington Group Facility during the month of August for training and to develop a proper implementation program.

V&F Transformer and Cimpro Consulting join together to ensure best in class Quality!
V&F Transformer and Cimpro Quality Consultants have signed a long term consulting agreement. The agreement is aimed at providing support to V&F’s Quality Program through improved process development by implementation of Lean principles and supporting continuous improvement activities throughout the facility. This agreement was brokered through the Elgin Community College and includes several education programs that will help V&F Transformer employees grow and meet their career development goals within the organization. |

V&F Transformer Corporation Goes Lean!
In pursuance of our Continuous Improvement Road Map V&F Transformer Corporation has begun their journey towards becoming a Lean Organization. Cimpro has been contracted to train 12 members of V&F Transformer’s manufacturing team as well as the front office, sales, and executive staff in the ways of Lean Manufacturing. The four month long program will conclude in early March with 2 full fledged Kaizan Events! The benefits are already starting to roll in! Look for reports in the new future detailing the actions and benefits of these initial 2 and future events. |

- 15-500 kVA Single and 3-Phase, Copper and Aluminum, Enclosed and Open Core and Coil Transformer Approval (U.L.)
- Air Core Ripple Filter Approval: Primarily used for the elevator industry V&F Transformer has become one of the few organizations to obtain this C.S.A. Approval.

Roger Fish, a specialist in large kVA Transformer design and engineering has joined the V&F engineering team. His experience includes up to and well beyond V&F’s current capabilities. His design expertise is in large 3 phase transformers and reactive magnetics as well as in the field of potted/encapsulated transformers. With over 30 years experience in the field and with such organizations as Sola/Heavy Duty and Olsun Electric he is a welcomed addition to the team. His presence has improved V&F’s already impressive engineering line-up. |
